Hi everyone,
I'm a twenty year old female hippy child and I'm going to uni in Sep after a few years of just working and stuff. This leaves me with about March to June to fill, and I would really like to travel and do something exciting. Problem is I don't have a lot of money and I'm not sure I have the courage to just take off on my own. Anyone got any ideas about cheap projects or anything I could do? I'd love to go round Europe or anywhere really, just to experience another culture and have some fun! Any advice appreciated, thanks |

Apart from the flight i would say thailand is pretty cheap cheap for a few months... i spent £1000 in 8 weeks and had a fantastic time...
Volunteering at http://www.wfft.org/ is a pretty good way to not spend money.. the projects are well worthwhile, i did three weeks here on my 8 week stint around Thailand... Made some good friends and travel buddies.. i went on my own too... good luck and have some fun!

Well, it's not really about the money if you want to travel. It may play a very important part, but if you know what to do and where to stay... you'll get anywhere with less than what you expected. Try to think of friends whose overseas... start from there. I'm sure some of them will be glad that you will visit them.

You can travel and spend little at the same time! Use public transportation to move around, stay in cheap places and keep personal expenses to a minimum.
