Hello everyone, new to this forum so, HELLO.
I have just returned from a trip downunder. This was my first long trip abroad. Like most people i have no understanding of insurance and left it to the last minute to sort out. I really struggled to find a cheap way of doing it. I've really logged onto this forum(which i found out about from a fellow traveller) to let you guys know about an affordable insurance policy. I took mine out with 'Go Walkabout' travel insurance. Advice was good and premium was cheap for the activites i participated in. I realised that money is tight when ever you are arranging a trip so just thought it would be fair to let everyone know so you can have some more beer tokens once on your travels! Cheers |

Cheeps good but don't forget about quality cover,
I've met several people who have come a cropper whislt traveling because there insurance didn't cover them for something they thought it would. You would be supprised the number of policys that don't cover working. |

Always a good idea to read through the policy in full before travel - I know this can be really boring but it can mean the difference between getting a quality cover or being screwed over!!!
When backpacking I use www.travel-insurance.net and haven't ever had any problems (saying that I've only ever claimed once!!) but it seems to be a good cover and underwritten by axa. My friend has also used Trailfinders in the past and they apparently offer very good cover. Last edited by oscar : 14-10-2008 at 09:51 AM. |
