RTW January 2009

I'm almost ready to book my trip now! The plan is South America, NZ, Oz, Asia starting in January 2009. Probably after 15th as apparently it's cheaper then which is always a plus!

I'm looking for someone/a group to do the first trip out and maybe travel around a bit with, or even to meet in one of those countries along the way!

If anyone's thinking of those places around the first 6 months or so of 2009 (sounds ages away but this year's going pretty fast!) then let me know.

Hey Christine, I am also looking to arrange a RTW trip for early 09' and considering a travel companion as my mates wouldn't go for love nor money due to careers or just generally dont have as itchy feet as me!

Your post stood out as i'd consider your places you'd like to visit the same as mine. I've travelled quite a bit before, many hols and bit of trekking tho this is my first time contemplating doin the long round the world thing so bit daunting!

well, thats looks like a pretty good route, thats my plan too, most seem to do it the other way round but why not go west? Im planning on starting Jan 4/5th in Buenos Aires then doing a big lopp of SA before NZ, Aus and Asia, would be good to meet somewhre along that route. lmk, if you fancy meeting

I'm starting my RTW trip on Dec. 15th from the US. Will be going due south from here. Should be in South America in late Jan though the end of March.

If anyone would like to meet up for food and drinks, I'd love to meet fellow travelers
