Default kamper vans

Hello, this is as bit of a tester email really.... and a bit of a poll (and we all like a pole right!?) and more for if you are planning to travel around Aus - starting in Melbourne.

I now live in Aus after moving here from the UK. We arrived (3 couples) in melbourne to buy a van to go travelling for a few months... thing was, there were no decent vans or any about to buy so off to sydney we went to get one and we all did - but two weeks was wasted and money chucked away hiring cars to get to sydney etc...

We have now stopped travelling and now live in Melbourne indeffinatley. We have seen a gap in the market that is dominated by renting kamper vans - but that is money down the drain!

So, we have decied to buy and renovate vans for travellers... these vans will come with a choice of packages also (bascially all the usefull stuff you need to make food and sleep well with!). Also you can decide what kind of interior style you would like (curtain and bedding wise)...

We would be selling the vans with road worthy (UK MOT equiv) with rego optional (UK version of tax but this is state specific). The van is then free for you to sell on or you can come back to us to buy it back off you etc....

Our other friends both made money on their vans or sold for brought price, so essentially their accommodation was free for the whole time they were here and had a good lump sum for the rest of their trip!

This will save you time and money when arriving in Aus on sleeping in hostals, you could be met at the airport with your van (or a location in Melb of your choice) and off you go... no looking for the van, getting it set up for travelling and then shopping to fit it!!!

Would you consider this over hiring a van? Would this be something that you would factor into your budget? All comments would be greatly received

Thanks for reading if you got this far!

Icon Smile Kamper Vans

We will be campervanning round Oz towards the end of the year. It's definitely something I would use as I'm quite picky about having something clean to live in . for a year. Mind you I don't mind doing the cleaning and putting new carpets/curtains in myself so it would have to be economical, but yes ... if you think you can make a bob Bob ... go for it!!
