Icon Biggrin Australia...

Hello Everyone

I'm new to the website and the whole travel thing.

I'm looking to travel to Australia although I really want to go to a few other places also. I really don't mind where!

I went to Greece in September last year on my own for TWO weeks, and I hated it. Simply because there was nobody for me to talk to.

My partner has no interest in travelling and unfortunately my family and friends have their own commitments so I would really like to meet people who share the same interests as me that I could get to know and hopefully find a buddy or buddies to travel with! :->

Hi,
if you're going to Australia or New Zealand, or any other famous travel country, it shouldn't be difficult to meet other backpackers. You will find them in every hostel and you shouldn't be alone without anyone to talk to for long if even at all. Landing at the airport you will properly see the first travelers already. So you're not even alone for the way to your first hostel.

Hello...

Very true, I did travel to Greece alone and that was only for two weeks and it was hell! I was so bored!
Although saying that, from what people have told me oz is a friendly place and like you say you do meet people who are more than likely in the same boat as yourself!

THANKS

Default Ozzies Friendliest People On Earth

I've been to Australia and you shouldn't worry about having no one to talk too! Based on experience, they're very friendly and easily approachable. They're just really laid-back, and a relaxing sort of people, you can't help but not have a good time with them Must be the weather, and the beaches :p
