You want to try Mission Beach in North Queensland, just south of Cairns. Miles of golden sand and the rainforest comes right down to the sea

I would also nominate Blue Mountains for romantic getaways or holidays. see panoramas of rugged sandstone escarpments, deep mountain gorges and tree filled valleys and seductive bodies of water

I have heard that Broome is pretty special... unspoilt by a lot of tourism but just as stunning as the sunshine coast... seems a lot of honeymooners go out that way.
I have not made it over that side yet, but is on the top of my places to see in aus...
