Default Cruisin' Alaska!

I have been on a few cruises to the Caribbean but never to Alaska. Was hoping that there were some folks out there that can set me straight as to what I should be looking for when searching for a deal. I am on a pretty tight budget this time around....

I found this great deal from a company called, oddly enough, cruisedeals.com. They have a deal going to Alaska for 1149 7nts. on a balcony. Could someone take a look and tell me if this deal is a good one? Has anyone used this company before?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for all your replys!

Haven't tried that site yet, but you must keep your options open

For this particular ship and itinerary and date of sailing, it seems to be a good deal. However, if you are not picky about which ship you sail, you can get a 7-night Alaskan cruise in balcony room on a different ship $950 ($200 cheaper). To sail in a "regular" room (no balcony) on the same cruise can be as cheap as $500. It depends on what you are interested in.

Keep in mind that taxes, fees, and mandated gratuities will add another $150-250 to the advertised price.

I would love to go on an Alaskan cruise! If you go, have a great time!
