Hiya. I am currently in India and was planning to stay for a year (am 2 months in) but obviously the visa is only valid for 6 months. You used to be able to get a new visa by going to Nepal or Sri Lanka but I have been told recently by a number of people that you now have to go back to your country of origin in order to get another! I have tried to research this and contact the embassies to no avail. Does anyone know if this is true (it's an anti terrorism thing I have been told)??? Hope not as I can't afford another ticket!

Why don't you go to British High Commission in Chanakyapuri and ask? Or go to Indian foreign Ministry in South Block, near Parliament. You will get all informations.

Located in Mysore, Karnataka, Mysore Palace is one of the finest palaces of India. This palace was built in 1912 by Henry Irwin, after the original palace got destroyed by fire. This makes a visit to this palace a must, when you come to India through India Holiday Packages.
This palace is made up of three storeys and has series of doomed arches. A gold-plated dome about 145 feet from the ground is the most attractive feature of the palace. The palace is surrounded by 12 temples built in Dravidian style. Thus, book a trip to Mysore palace, India, through reputed India tour operators. |
