Hey all,
I'm so sorry to read about the negative experiences some volunteers have had. It's really unfortunate especially because this is supposed to be a positive experience both for the project being supported and also for the volunteer themselves. Back to the topic at hand, if you're interested in Kenya, check out LINKS TO AFRICA. They work directly with the projects themselves and also their offices are locally based in the country rather than abroad so that their efforts are concentrated on projects and there are no unnecessary costs on offices abroad. I have seen their work firsthand and they do a great job. You can check out their website on http://www.linkstoafrica.com They also have a facebook group that you could join. The link is http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref...id=41336579364 |

If you are considering travelling to Senegal to study French and/or Wolof and/or to volunteer YOU MUST PLEASE SENEGALESESTYLE.COM
This Francisco or Francesca PEREZ and an another African American Djembe Queen or Tam Tam Queen Sineta or whatever are their names will try to explain you many kinds of rubbish so that what should help the Senegalese Community will go to their pockets. These Americans think that they are more Senegalese than Senegalese citizens and what they charge you is minimum the double of SENEVOLU.MYPAGE.ORG program fee. Nobody did anything bad to these 2 stupid Americans. Especially Francisco whose job here was to have strange relationship with his host sister Sophie and he was always drunk. Nowadays i think he is too.Only drunk people write this kind. You can contact former real SENEVOLU participants. You have just to send an email to senevolu@hotmail.com Travellers are coming to Senegal in order to hear from Senegalese and to discover the Senegalese Culture not to see millions of US that they left home. SENEVOLU programs are available all year long and in 60 participants per year 58 or 59 are 100% satisfied. Thus do not believe a word of this "brebis galeuse" Perez. Have a nice stay in Senegal with Senegalese! |
